Bristol City star Aden Flint has admitted that he was left flattered after learning about the interest from Leeds United.
Aden Flint has arguably been one of the best defenders in the English Championship over the past few seasons and it was no surprise whatsoever in seeing the 28-year-old attracting the interest from a host of clubs this summer.
Leeds United were said to be very keen on acquiring the services of Flint this summer but the transfer evidently did not come into fruition.
Flint has now been speaking about the speculation surrounding his future over the summer and admitted that he was flattered by the interest shown in him by Leeds, possibly opening the door for a move during the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old said, “It’s been a stressful few months with everything being up in the air. There has been a lot of interest, which is flattering. But I’ve just got my head down and worked hard.
“Some other people might have chosen not to speak to me, but the gaffer has been great throughout, keeping me informed of what was going on.
“I’ve done my extras when I haven’t been involved to keep my fitness up just in case I was needed. I want to be out there playing like any player, but it was still nice seeing the boys doing well when you are sat at home.”
