Arsenal have been linked with a move for Napoli star Jorginho and are preparing a bid in the January transfer window to sign the talented midfielder, according to Star Sport.
Arsenal have reportedly shown interest in signing talented Napoli midfielder Jorginho, who is believed to be on the verge of breaking into the Brazil international squad after impressing in the Serie A over the past few seasons.
At 25, Jorginho has already established himself as a major part of the impressive Napoli squad and plays the role of “string puller” from the middle of the park for the Italian giants.
As a result, Arsenal are said to be interested in signing the 25-year-old during the January transfer as the Gunners are looking to recruit someone capable of controlling the midfield and forming a long term partnership with Granit Xhaka at the middle of the park.
However, this transfer rumor looks more like a wishful thinking from Arsenal’s part rather than a likely scenario as Jorginho is under contract with Napoli until 2020 and the Naples based club are under no pressure to let go of their talented midfielder.
The Brazilian is arguably one of the most underrated players in world football at the moment and if indeed Arsenal successfully manage to sign the talented midfielder, the transfer could be regarded as a huge coup for the English giants.
