Arsenal’s campaign has crumbled in front of their eyes in recent times and following an exit from the FA Cup, impending elimination from the Champions League and a faltering Premier League campaign, many believe that it is time for manager Arsene Wenger to go.
Wenger has remained defiant amid all the criticism though and has vowed to continue on till the end of his contract which expires at the conclusion of the next Premier League campaign.
Kroos wanted by Arsenal
In what will surely be his final season with Arsenal, Wenger will surely need to make amends and give the fans something to cheer about. As a result, Wenger has to strengthen his squad significantly over the summer and spend heavily on world class players.
Having faced the wrath of the fans, Wenger is now believed to be open to splashing the cash during the upcoming transfer window and a host of players have already started being linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium in recent times.
Now according to reports emerging out of Spain, claims have been made that Wenger has eyed up a move for Real Madrid star Toni Kroos.
Improving the midfield will be a priority for Wenger in the summer as the likes of Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky are all set to depart the club and it has been claimed that the French manager is planning to bring in a world class replacement in the form of Kroos, who is likely to be made available by Madrid.
