Arsenal are going to speed up their outstanding payments from the signing of Rob Holding in an attempt to help the financially stricken Bolton Wanderers.
Holding joined Arsenal from Bolton Wanderers in July 2016 for a fee believed to be around £2.5million.
In addition to the initial fee, Arsenal are believed to owe extra payments to Bolton – most of it is appearance related which have not yet matured.
However, Arsenal have reportedly decided to pay the outstanding payments ahead of schedule in order to help Bolton with their current financial difficulties.
Bolton are struggling with their finances and are currently desperately looking for funds to stay afloat and the Arsenal’s gesture will surely be welcome.
While the financial boost from Arsenal is nice, Bolton fans will hope that their team can stay in the Championship and prevent relegation into League One in order to continue their rebuilding process.
