Aston Villa FC planning swoop for Burnley FC’s George Boyd

According to reports from the Express and Star, Aston Villa are plotting a swoop for Burnley attacker George Boyd.

George Boyd played a key role in helping Burnley maintain their Premier League status in comfortable fashion last season but it does look like the 31-year-old will be leaving Turf Moor this summer as he has not yet signed a contract extension with the club.

Boyd’s current deal is due to expire in July and a host of clubs have already expressed their interest in securing the services of the experienced attacker.

Now according to reports from the Express and Star, revelations can be made that Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is planning to reunite with Boyd at Villa Park this summer, having previously worked alongside the ex-Peterborough United star at Hull City.
