Bolton Wanderers FC close to signing star following latest development

Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers could be on the verge of signing former Brazilian international Julio Baptista after he featured for the club’s Under-23 side.

Bolton were widely expected to struggle following their promotion into the Championship this season and that has certainly proven to be the case so far as the Trotters are currently rooted to the bottom of the table, having failed to pick up a single win their first six matches of the season.

Having scored only four times so far, it is clear to see that Phil Parkinson’s men are lacking the cutting edge in front of goal at the moment and in order to rectify the issue, Bolton were said to be considering an ambitious move for former Brazilian international Julio Baptista.

Now in an exciting development, the BBC have revealed that Baptista featured for Bolton’s Under-23 side against QPR on Monday and the 35-year-old could now well be signed up by the Trotters ahead of the upcoming clash against Sheffield United in midweek.
