Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech is confident that his side can seal qualification into the knockout stages of the Champions League despite their current predicament
Arsenal have done very well domestically this season but it has been a different story altogether in the Champions League.
With three defeats in four matches, Arsenal are joint bottom of their Group alongside minnows Dinamo Zagreb at the moment and following the 5-1 humbling at the hands of Bayern Munich in midweek, the Gunners’ chances of making it into the knockout rounds is bleak to say the least.
Cech confident of Arsenal’s Champions League qualification
Nonetheless, Arsenal still stand a mathematical chance of making it into the Round of 16 and goalkeeper Petr Cech is very confident that his side will be able to get the job done during their final two group matches.
Cech said, “Of course we can still qualify. You win two games, and we need to make sure the head-to-head against Olympiakos is in our favour, and then we can go through.
“Everything is possible and we have two games to play. We have to regroup and continue fighting until the last minute.”
Arsenal now play hosts to Dinamo Zagreb in their next fixture in the group and it goes without saying that the Gunners will need to grab a victory on the day.
