Chelsea FC loanee Charly Musonda has dropped a huge hint that he would like to stay put at Real Betis
Musonda joined Real Betis on a loan deal till the end of the season during the January transfer window and the promising youngster has certainly managed to make a huge impact since his move to Spain.
In the six matches Musonda has featured so far in La Liga, Betis have not lost a single one and the 19-year old has arguably been the best player for the Spaniards on each occasion.
Betis manager Juan Merino has been left very impressed with Musonda’s performances and recently hinted that he would like to turn the youngster’s loan deal into a permanent one if given the opportunity.
Musonda hints at Betis stay
Merino had said, “I wish we had the option to buy [Musonda]. With his behaviour and his attitude on the pitch at just 19-years-old, he is proving to be an awesome player who will just improve.”
Now Musonda has gone on to speak regarding his future and has also stated that he would be open to a longer stay with Betis.
The teenager said, “I am very happy here. Right now I’m playing to give the best for Betis and enjoy myself. I don’t know the future. I am content. Next year you never know, but it is possible [to stay].
“Yes. My favourite clubs are from Spain. They are the best clubs in the world. I’ve liked Barcelona and Real Madrid since I was a kid. That’s why I learned Spanish. Now I play for Betis and I’m happy. Playing here helps me to improve my Spanish too.”
