Championship side Leeds United have agreed to sign out of favour Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt
Bridcutt joined Sunderland from Brighton & Hove Albion during the January transfer window of 2014 and it was expected that the midfielder would be able to strike a successful partnership with his former manager Gus Poyet.
While things started off well for Bridcutt, Sunderland did not enjoy the best of fortunes on the pitch and consequently, Poyet was sacked from his post as manager of the Black Cats.
Since the departure of Poyet, Bridcutt’s fortunes have also suffered and the midfielder has struggled to get any sort of sustained playing time on the pitch over the last few months or so.
Bridcutt to join Leeds United
The current campaign has been especially difficult for Bridcutt as he has not featured at all in the Premier League so for and it seemed inevitable that the midfielder would be leaving the Stadium of Light sooner rather than later.
Now according to reports emerging out of England, it can be revealed that Bridcutt is finally set to seal his exit from Sunderland by joining Championship side Leeds United.
Bridcutt will be joining Leeds on a loan deal with a view to making the transfer permanent at the end of the season.
