Premier League side Everton have expressed an interest in signing Iranian superstar Sardar Azmoun, according to reports from the Liverpool Echo
Everton are expected to receive a large cash injection to purchase new players next season after Iranian billionaire Farhad Moshiri purchased 49.9% stake at Goodison Park and a host of names have already started being linked with the Toffees in recent times.
Quite naturally, it has not taken long for Everton to be linked with a swoop for an Iranian player as reports claim that the Premier League side are considering a move for attacking midfielder Sardar Azmoun.
Azmoun being courted Everton
Azmoun is currently plying his trade for Russian side Rostov after joining on loan from Rubin Kazan last year and the 21-year old has made a positive impact for the strugglers.
Azmoun’s fine performances for Rostov has caught the attention of a host of top clubs around Europe and now Everton are said to be keen on making a move for the young attacker.
Known as the ‘Iranian Messi’, Azmoun is expected to cost Everton £4.5million and the new Iranian owners believe that the fee is a reasonable one for arguably the most talented youngster to have emerged from the Asian nation in recent times.
