Italian giants Inter Milan are eyeing a swoop for Real Madrid striker Jese Rodriguez during the January transfer window
Jese had been hailed as the long term successor to Raul when he burst into the scene for Real Madrid back in the 2013/14 season and following a haul of a respectable 8 goals in 31 appearances, many felt that the youngster was ready to take up the mantle as the main striker for Los Blancos.
Unfortunately though, a long term knee injury meant that Jese missed majority of last season and his rapid development has been stalled as a result.
Jese made a return to full fitness during the current campaign amid much optimism but the striker has not enjoyed the best of fortunes, with new manager Rafael Benitez affording the youngster very little playing time on the pitch.
Jese set for Inter move
As a result, what had been touted to become a successful career at Real Madrid for Jese, is seemingly set to end in disappointment and the striker is now expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu in search of regular first team football.
Despite his struggles at Real Madrid though, there is no shortage of interest in Jese from a host of top clubs and now according to reports emerging out of Spain, it has been revealed that Italian giants Inter Milan are in pole position to secure the services of the 22-year old.
Inter have made a positive start to their Serie A campaign so far and manager Roberto Mancini is now looking to boost his side’s title chances by strengthening his attack with the addition of Jese.
