Promising Leeds United goalkeeper Theo Richardson is on the verge of joining Manchester United, as reported by the Football Insider.
Leeds United have continually lost the services of some of their best young talent such as Fabian Delph, Jonny Howson, Sam Byram and potentially Charlie Taylor, and now it can be revealed that the Whites are set to lose promising goalkeeper Theo Richardson to rivals Manchester United.
Richardson has featured prominently for the Leeds United Under-18’s this season, which is managed by Andy Gray and Mark Jackson and it had been speculated that the teenager could potentially be challenging for a first team spot in the future – especially with current number one Rob Green entering the twilight of his career.

However in surprise reports, it has emerged that Richardson was included in the Manchester United squad for the Red Devils’ youth clash at Altrincham’s J Davidson Stadium and that the goalkeeper is currently on trial with the Premier League giants.
Richardson has been allowed to join Manchester United on trial as the youngster has been told that he will not be awarded a professional contract by Leeds upon the expiration of his scholarship and the Red Devils have jumped at the opportunity to make a swoop due to the unexpected availability of the talented custodian.
