Leeds United will have to pay £2million to sign Harlee Dean

Brentford’s Harlee Dean has been subject of interest for many Championship clubs, with the likes of Hull City, Birmingham City and Leeds United battling it out in the race to sign the defender.

Dean was stripped off his captaincy at the start of the season and looks set to leave Griffin Park this summer to pursue his career elsewhere.

However, The Bees have reportedly rejected numerous offers for the player and will reject any bid below £2 million for the 26-year-old.

Leeds United manager, Thomas Christiansen, is an admirer of Dean and is looking to engineer the move of the want-away defender to Elland Road. Should Dean complete this move, he will be the eight signing for the Yorkshire club.

Leeds narrowly missed out on playoff places last season, finishing seventh and will look to finish at least in play-off spot this time around. The former giants will hope to get promoted this season and be able to compete with the elites of the English game as soon as possible.
