Jurgen Klopp has most certainly brought about a very positive impact at Liverpool since his appointment as manager of the club back in October but despite the improvements, it has to be said that the German will need to strengthen his squad over the summer in order for the Reds to challenge for the title next season.
Klopp has been very proactive and has already agreed deals for the likes of Marko Grujic and Joel Matip, while a host of names such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Yohan Cabaye, Ilkay Gundogan and Piotr Zielinski among others have all constantly been linked with a move to Anfield.
Fernando wanted by Liverpool
Now according to reports emerging out of England, claims have been made that Liverpool are pondering a surprise move for Manchester City midfielder Fernando.
Fernando has been used as a squad player by Manchester City since his arrival to the club from Porto at the start of last season and it is widely expected that the Brazilian will be allowed to leave upon the arrival of Pep Guardiola as manager next season.
A move back to Porto had been seen on the cards for Fernando but now, Liverpool are also expressing their interest in signing the 28-year old and the Reds are believed to be preparing a bid in the region of around £10million in order to land the midfielder over the summer.
