Manchester United are believed to be still keen on signing Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann even after landing Romelu Lukaku from Everton earlier this summer.
The Red Devils were believed to be interested in signing Griezmann earlier on in the summer but with Atletico not willing to sell, the Premier League giants recruited Romelu Lukaku instead from Everton for around £75million.
However, many sources close to United have recently told that their interest in the France international has only been temporarily shelved and not completely terminated. This means that the Red Devils are expected to be back for the player as early as the January transfer window.
Signing Griezmann will not be easy though as the 26-year-old is a very valuable cog of a well-oiled machine that is Atletico Madrid and the La Liga side are said to be looking to form a deadly partnership involving the French superstar and Diego Costa after the January transfer window reopens.
Keeping the forward at the Wanda Metropolitano will be difficult for Atletico though as the ex-Real Sociedad forward seems to have a release clause of around £88 million and United certainly have the financial capability to activate the clause.
