Premier League giants Manchester United are looking to solve their attacking woes by securing the services of German international Mario Gomez
Despite spending astronomical amounts in the transfer market over the summer, Manchester United still look an ordinary team at the moment and the Red Devils look uncharacteristically toothless in attack.
United have not managed to find the back of the net in more than 300 consecutive minutes of action so far and as a result, it is clear to see that the Red Devils need to bring in reinforcements in attack during the January transfer window if they are to challenge for the Premier League title.
Gomez set for United move
A host of names have already started being linked with a move to United in recent times and now according to reports emerging out of Italy, it has been claimed that the Premier League giants are pondering a move for German star Mario Gomez.
Gomez had endured a terrible time with Italian side Fiorentina but following a move to Besiktas over the summer, the 30-year old has managed to find a new lease of life and has scored an impressive 8 goals in 10 appearances so far this season.
Gomez’s fine form has caught the eye of United manager Louis van Gaal and the Dutchman is said to be preparing a January swoop for the striker.
