According to reports from the Daily Star, Newcastle United are considering an audacious move for Manchester United defender Luke Shaw.
Following two fine years in the Premier League with Southampton, Luke Shaw was considered as one of the best young full-backs in Europe and it was Manchester United who won the race to secure the services of the then teenager by splashing a record £30million to recruit the burgeoning talent.
However, Shaw has endured an injury riddled time at Manchester United and following the arrival of Jose Mourinho as manager over the summer, the 21-year-old has been limited to very little playing time so far this season.
Shaw heading to Newcastle?
It is clear to see that Shaw has not managed to impress Mourinho so far and now according to reports from the Daily Star, the young left-back has decided that he will look to leave the Red Devils upon the end of the current Premier League campaign.
A number of clubs would most certainly be interested if Shaw were to be made available and now reports add that the likes of Newcastle United as well as Stoke City and Crystal Palace have shown an interest in signing the youngster.
Newcastle look certain to be earning promotion into the Premier League next season and the Magpies are said to be hopeful of luring Shaw to St. James’ Park by placing a bid in the region of around £15 million next summer.
