Norwich City FC interested in Australian International

Norwich City FC are reportedly interested in signing James Troisi from Italian side Atlanta. It is believed that Canaries manager Chris Hughton is looking to sign a replacement for Elliott Bennett after the winger suffered serious knee-ligament injury that will keep him out for the rest of the year. Norwich have reportedly made an enquiry about the availability of signing Troisi on a season-long loan deal.

The Australian International has struggled to get first-team football at Atalanta managing to make only 6 appearances in the Serie A last season. The winger is said to be unhappy at the situation and is looking to move away from the Italian side.

Troisi started his career at Newcastle United, signing his first ever professional contract with the Magpies in 2007. However, the winger did not even make a single appearance for the club and was released at the end of his contract in 2008. He then joined Turkish side Gençlerbirliği before moving to Kayserispor. The Australian International made a good impression with Kayserispor in his 3 years at the club and attracted the interest from Serie A giants Juventus.

Juventus signed Troisi on a free transfer and immediately sold half of his registration rights to fellow Italian side Atlanta. The 25-year old has made 9 appearances for the Australian National side.

Norwich City have started their Premier League campaign with a draw against Everton and a defeat against newly-promoted Hull City.
