Rangers FC eyeing up a move for £33million star

According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Rangers are planning an audacious swoop for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.

Michy Batshuayi joined Chelsea from Marseille last summer for a sizeable fee of around £33million but having failed to dislodge Diego Costa as the main striker, the young Belgian international spent most of the Blues’ Premier League title winning campaign on the bench.

With the World Cup coming up next year, it is expected that Batshuayi will be leaving Chelsea on a loan deal during the current summer transfer window in order to earn regular first team football once again and a host clubs have understandably expressed an interest in signing the 23-year-old.

Now according to reports from the Daily Mirror, even Rangers have joined in the race to sign Batshuayi and it will be very interesting to see if the young attacker decides to make the unconventional move to the Ibrox Stadium.
