While his talents may not be appreciated by many due to the quiet role he plays on the pitch, there is no denying that John Obi Mikel is a fantastic player. The 27-year old has amassed over 200 appearances for Premier League giants Chelsea and is also an integral part of his national team.

Usually deployed in a defensive role at his club, Mikel is afforded more freedom at international level and is a terrific creative outlet for the Nigerian side. The midfielder wonderfully dictates the pace of the game for Nigeria and manager Stephen Keshi has built his team around the talents of the Chelsea star.

While Mikel did not make much of an impact for his national team in the early part of his career, the 27-year old has been key to their resurgence in recent times and will undoubtedly play a huge role at the World Cup.

A stalwart of the Nigerian national team, Vincent Enyeama will be leading the Super Eagles out in Brazil. Already a veteran of 88 caps at the age of just 31, Enyeama has been a part of the national setup for quite a while now and is arguably the most inspirational figures in the team.

Now plying his trade for French side Lille, the goalkeeper enjoyed a fine campaign, where he kept an amazing 21 clean sheets and conceded only 26 goals in 38 Ligue 1 appearances.

A brilliant shot stopper with cat like reflexes, Enyeama is arguably one of the best goalkeepers around and he will look to end his fine year on a high by inspiring his Nigerian side to success in Brazil.

The spearhead of the Nigerian team, Emmanuel Emenike will be leading the line for the Super Eagles at the World Cup. The 27-year old made a multi-million move from Spartak Moscow to Fenerbahce in the summer and has been in decent form for the Turkish giants this season, managing 12 goals as well as 9 assists.

Emenike is a powerful forward who possesses blistering pace and a lethal touch in front of goal. His goals during the qualifiers were the major contributing factor which helped Nigeria seal their place at the World Cup and the striker will undoubtedly prove to be crucial if the Super Eagles are to give a good account of themselves at the World Cup.
