Premier League side Bournemouth set to continue their January splurge by splashing £9million to secure the services of Andre Carrillo
Bournemouth are leaving no stone unturned in their hopes of retaining their Premier League status this season and the Cherries have already conducted a couple of major signings ten days into the January transfer window.
Bournemouth have been able to lure Juan Iturbe from Roma on a loan deal till the end of the season while the Cherries are also set to smash their club record transfer fee by securing the services of Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe for £10million.
Manager Eddie Howe is still looking to spend more cash during the January transfer window and now according to reports, the Premier League side are set to splash £9million to secure the services of Sporting Lisbon star Andre Carrillo.
Carrillo has emerged as one of the finest attacking players in Europe during his time with Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon over the past few years. However, Carrillo’s future at Sporting has been put into doubt as he has not yet penned an extension to his contract at Estádio José Alvalade which expires at the end of the season.
As a result, Carrillo has been widely tipped to leave Sporting this January and in order to tempt the Portuguese giants to cash in on the winger, Bournemouth are said to have placed a whopping bid in the region of around £9million.
