Arsenal FC to place £30million bid for Liverpool FC striker Daniel Sturridge

Arsenal are plotting a surprise swoop for Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge, according to reports from the Daily Mirror

There is no denying the fact that Daniel Sturridge is a world class striker whenever he is on top form and the England international remains an integral part of the Liverpool side.

That being said, Sturridge’s attitude as well as injury problems has meant that the 26-year old does not share the best of relationships with the fans or indeed manager Jurgen Klopp and it has been widely speculated that Liverpool could cash in on their star if a right offer comes along.

Considering Sturridge’s quality, there has been no surprise to see a host of clubs expressing their interest in securing the services of the striker and now according to reports emerging out of the Daily Mirror, claims have been made that Arsenal are considering a big money swoop for the former Chelsea man.

Arsenal consider huge bid for Daniel Sturridge

Arsenal have endured another mediocre campaign and clearly need to strengthen their squad in order to stand a chance of challenging for the Premier League title next season.

Manager Arsene Wenger is now expected to finally splash the cash in the summer and bringing in a new striker has been seen as a priority by the Frenchman.

A number of names have been linked with Arsenal over the past few weeks and it has been claimed that the Gunners will place a bid of around £30million for Daniel Sturridge during the close season.

Liverpool may well consider selling Sturridge if they receive such a huge offer but the deal would most certainly represent a bit of a risk for Arsenal due to the striker’s injury history.
