Spanish giants Barcelona are eyeing a move for Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho, according to reports
Liverpool may have had their problems over the years but there is no denying the fact that star midfielder Philippe Coutinho has consistently remained one of the best midfielders in the Premier League despite the Reds’ struggles.
Coutinho has managed to impress many with his performances since joining the club from Inter back in 2012 and the 23-year old is now considered one of the best attacking midfielders plying their trade in the Premier League.
With Coutinho impressing, it has been no surprise to see a host of clubs expressing their interest in signing the Brazilian international and with Liverpool missing out on Champions League football time and again, their star player leaving Anfield has been seen as a distinct possibility.
Now in reports that is certain to worry the Liverpool faithful, it has been revealed that Spanish giants Barcelona are considering a January swoop to sign Coutinho.
Barcelona are said to be one of the many admirers of Coutinho and it has been claimed that the Catalan giants are hopeful of luring the attacking midfielder away from Anfield following the end of their transfer ban.
It is believed that Coutinho will be available for a fee of around £21million and Barcelona are looking to use Neymar and Luis Suarez to influence the attacking midfielder to swap Anfield for the Nou Camp.
