Blackburn Rovers keen on securing the services of former Manchester United man Nick Powell, according to reports

Nick Powell clearly was not able to fulfill his massive potential during his four year stay at Manchester United and disappointingly, the midfielder was released by the Red Devils this summer.

Now Powell faces a long hard road ahead in order to revive his career and it remains to be seen how the former Crewe Alexandra star will be able to bounce back.

Despite his struggles at Old Trafford though, Powell’s ability is undoubted and it has perhaps been no surprise to see a host of clubs expressing their interest in signing the 22-year-old.

Powell wanted by Blackburn Rovers

Recently, Hull City were said to be ready to take a chance on the youngster and now according to reports emerging out of England, claims have been made that even Blackburn Rovers are keen on the Manchester United reject.

New Blackburn boss Owen Coyle enjoyed a very successful relationship with Powell during their time together at Championship side Wigan Athletic and the 49-year-old remains an admirer of the youngster.

Coyle has been handed a rebuilding job at Ewood Park this summer and it is believed that the former Bolton boss is keen on signing Powell as he is confident of getting the best out of the midfielder.
