Burnley are now eyeing a swoop for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Alex Pritchard after being sounded out from a move for Alan Judge

Burnley are in the market to sign an attacking player in order to boost their chances of earning an automatic promotion place from the Championship this season and it has been no secret that manager Sean Dyche wants to bring in Alan Judge to Turf Moor.

However, the move for Judge is unlikely to come into fruition as Brentford have slapped a whopping £8million price tag on the attacking midfielder and as a result, Burnley have been forced to focus on transfer targets elsewhere.

Now according to reports emerging out of England, it can be revealed that Burnley are targeting a move for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Alex Pritchard on a loan deal till the end of the season.

Alex Pritchard heading to Burnley

Pritchard is very highly rated at White Hart Lane but has had regular first team football hard to come by due to the plethora of talented midfielders present at the club.

In order to earn regular minutes on the pitch, Pritchard has been touted to move away from North London on loan during the January transfer window and a host of Championship clubs have expressed their interest in signing the 21-year old.

Dyche is a keen admirer of Pritchard’s abilities and it can now be revealed that the Clarets are set to snap up the former Brentford player on a temporary basis till the end of the current campaign.
