Italian side Napoli have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur over the signing of midfielder Moussa Dembele, according to reports from Tuttosport
Moussa Dembele arrived at Tottenham Hotspur during the summer of 2012 for a fee of around £15million and it was believed at the time that the Belgian international would be the man spearheading Spurs’ hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
Unfortunately though, a host of injuries as well as inconsistency has not allowed Dembele to produce his best during his time at White Hart Lane so far and it would be fair to state that the midfielder has proven to be a huge disappointment for Spurs.
With the emergence of the likes of Nabil Bentaleb, Ryan Mason and Eric Dier in recent times, Dembele has been pushed down the pecking order at White Hart Lane this season and the 28-year old does not seem to be a key part of manager Mauricio Pochettino’s plans at the club.
As a result, reports linking Dembele with a move away from Tottenham had emerged recently and it can now be revealed that the midfielder is on the verge of sealing his exit from White Hart Lane after agreeing a deal to sign for Italian side Napoli.
According to reports from Tuttosport, Napoli have successfully negotiated over the purchase of Dembele and are now hopeful of striking a £10.3million deal with Tottenham to sign the Belgian international during the January transfer window.
