Championship side Fulham are ready to place a bid for wantaway Blackburn Rovers star Ben Marshall, according to reports

Blackburn Rovers have endured another terrible season so far and with a lot of uncertainty surrounding the club’s future due to the questionable management by owners Venky’s, the club is expected to go through sweeping changes during the summer.

Manager Paul Lambert is set to be leaving the club and a number of players are also touted to be departing Ewood Park at the conclusion of the current campaign.

Among the players set to depart, it has recently been speculated that Blackburn Rovers are poised to lose the services of star midfielder Ben Marshall.

Marshall being courted by Fulham

Marshall’s contract at Ewood Park is set to expire in one year’s time and the midfielder has expressed no desire to sign an extension to his deal due to the uncertainty that has plagued Blackburn.

A number of clubs such as Brighton and Hove Albion and Middlesbrough have expressed their interest in signing Marshall and now even Fulham are said to have joined in the race to secure the services of the former England Under-21 international.

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic has been forced to work under a transfer embargo since his arrival but the restrictions are set to be lifted in the summer and the 47-year old is already looking at options to improve his squad.

Jokanovic is believed to be an admirer of Marshall’s abilities and now according to reports, it has been claimed that the Serbian manager is ready to splash the cash for the £1.5million rated midfielder in the summer.
