Championship duo Hull City and Brighton and Hove Albion are planning to make a move for troubled striker Nicklas Bendtner, according to reports emerging out of England

It has recently been confirmed that Nicklas Bendtner has left German side Wolfsburg by mutual consent following a difficult season, where the striker was involved in a number of disciplinary breaches.

Confirming the departure of Bendtner, Wolfsburg’s director of sport Klaus Allofs said, “Both Nicklas and ourselves had high hopes of his engagement at VfL Wolfsburg, but after two years we have had to ascertain that the expectations were neither fulfilled for him, nor for us, and a continued cooperation made no sense for either side.

“For that reason, the mutual decision to end our association prematurely is thus the best solution for all parties. We wish Nicklas all the very best for his future career.”

Bendtner being courted by Hull and Brighton

The acrimonious exit from Wolfsburg proves that despite his undoubted talent, Bendtner’s attitude is not right and many have suspected that the striker will now find it very difficult to get his career back on track.

Nonetheless, there are still a number of clubs that are willing to take a chance on Bendtner and now according to reports emerging out of England, it has been claimed that Championship duo Hull City and Brighton and Hove Albion are willing to make a move for the Danish international.

However any potential move will hinge on whether or not the two teams earn promotion into the Premier League and Bendtner is also expected to take a massive pay cut in order to facilitate the potential transfer in the summer.
