Premier League leaders Leicester City are close to securing the services of French youngster Ousmane Dembele, according to reports

Following their stunning 3-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, Leicester City have now been placed by many as favourites to claim the Premier League title and if the Foxes are able to achieve the feat, it would rank as one of the greatest ever upsets in sporting history.

Despite the wonderful chance to claim the title this season though, Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has insisted that he is building towards the future at the King Power Stadium and is not getting carried away anytime soon.

In addition, Ranieri has made a couple of signings with the future in mind by landing the likes of Demrai Gray and Daniel Amartey in January. Now in another transfer with a long term picture in mind, it can be revealed that Ranieri is on the verge of securing the services of French wonderkid Ousmane Dembele.

Leicester to win the race to sign Dembele

Dembele has emerged as one of the most exciting young wingers around in European football with his performances for Rennes over the last six months and as a result, the 18-year old has attracted the interest from a host of clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Even Leicester recently joined in the race to sign Dembele and revelations can now be made that the Foxes are set to trump the likes of United, Chelsea and Arsenal to the signing of the Frenchman.

Leicester believe that Dembele has the potential to become another ‘Riyad Mahrez’ and the Foxes are set to complete the deal for the teenage sensation within the next few days.
