Premier League side Liverpool are looking to strengthen their squad with the signing of German wonderkid Timo Werner
While Jurgen Klopp arrived at Anfield amid much fanfare, Liverpool’s fortunes have not improved much since the German took over the reins and the Reds now seem all but certain to be missing out on Champions League football next season once again.
In order to give Liverpool a better chance of finishing in the top four next season, it is clear that Klopp will need to strengthen his squad significantly over the summer and a host of names have already started being linked with a move to Anfield over the past few weeks.
Bringing in a couple of attacking players will rank high on the agenda for Klopp and it was recently reported that the Reds’ boss was eyeing a move for Deportivo La Coruna star Lucas Perez.
Now in fresh links, reports have revealed that Klopp is now considering a swoop for German wonderkid Timo Werner.
Werner has been regarded as one of the most exciting young strikers around in Germany since bursting into the scene for Stuttgart back in 2013 and the 19-year old has been tipped by many to become a star in the coming years.
Klopp is well aware of Werner’s talents after regularly coming up against him during his time as manager of Borussia Dortmund and is now said to be eager to bring the youngster to Liverpool next season.
