Manchester United’s interest in Dinamo Bucharest winger Dorin Rotariu has been confirmed after the club’s owner Ionut Negoita revealed that the Red Devils have already tabled a bid for the young man.

The 18-year old is considered a very bright talent who has really made an impression, having scored 6 goals in 17 appearances for Dinamo Bucharest this season and due to his fantastic performances, Manchester United manager David Moyes was said to have sent his scouting team to monitor the winger over the last couple of months.

Bucharest owner, Negoita has now revealed that United’s interest in Rotariu is concrete but put a dampener on the Red Devils’ hopes of signing the winger by saying that he is remaining in Dinamo Buchrest for the time-being and ruled out a move in January.

Negoita was speaking to Sport Total and said, “If we wanted to, we could sell Dorin Rotariu this winter for a lot of money. I had a good offer and I took it into consideration.

Rotariu has made quite an impression this season

“The interest of Manchester United for Rotariu is 100% real but we can not now speak of a transfer. He has to play one season at Dinamo, make performances and only then can he think about leaving abroad. There’s a time for it.”

It is no secret that Manchester United have been poor this season, especially in attack and the fact that United have been dependent on 18-year old Adnan Januzaj for the spark of creativity, speaks volumes of the Red Devils’ struggles this season.

Moyes is said to be targeting Rotariu as replacement for the underperforming Ashley Young and Nani as the Scotsman is looking to offload either of the two players in January after losing patience with the duo.
