Middlesbrough closing in on the signing of Martin Braithwaite for £12million

Middlesbrough are on the verge of signing Danish international Martin Braithwaite, according to reports from French publication L’Equipe.

Middlesbrough pulled a major coup by acquiring the services of Garry Monk as manager and now the 37-year-old will be tasked with the job of strengthening at the Riverside Stadium to make the club capable of challenging for promotion back into the Premier League.

It is being reported that Monk is set to make his first signing of the summer in the form of Jonny Howson soon and the midfielder could be followed by Danish international Martin Braithwaite to the Riverside.

Braithwaite has long been a target for Monk and claims are being made that Boro are now set to sign the striker for a fee in the region of around £12million.
