Nani set for Juventus move

There is no doubting the fact that Nani is one of most skillful players of his generation. Pace, power, an eye for goal and technically sound, the Portuguese international seemingly has everything in his repertoire to become a world beater.

After initially struggling to adapt at Manchester United since his multi-million move from Sporting Lisbon in 2007, Nani started to deliver on his potential and looked like he would be able to fill the massive shoes of the departing Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.

Unfortunately, Nani has never been able to match the heights of his compatriot. Although, he has enjoyed couple of fruitful campaigns, the 27-year old has been accused of being too inconsistent and his career at United has taken a nosedive in the last two seasons, with lack of form and fitness plaguing his progress.

As a result, despite signing a new five-year contract at United in September this year, the explosive winger looks resigned to leaving United in the summer, with manager David Moyes ready to sanction the Portuguese international’s sale.

Nani’s agent had recently confirmed that his client would be leaving Old Trafford in the summer and now according to reports in Italy, the 27-year old has all but sealed his move to Italian champions Juventus.

The winger had been regularly visiting Italy in an attempt to recover from a hamstring injury over the last month or so and Tuttosport have now made a bold claim that he took up the opportunity to meet up with Juventus’ representatives to seal his move to the Bianconeri next season.

No official word has come out from any of the parties involved confirming the deal, so the report can be taken with a pinch of salt but it is increasingly looking more likely that Nani will not remain a Manchester United player for very long.

Nani has amassed over 200 appearances for United so far but has managed to make only 20 league appearances for the club in the last two seasons, with poor form and persistent injuries hampering his first team chances.
