Queens Park Rangers look set to stave off competition from the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal by securing the services of Ademola Lookman from Charlton Athletic
While Charlton Athletic may have endured a terrible season so far in the Championship, one of the positives for the Addicks has been the tremendous development of youngster Ademola Lookman.
Having burst into the scene this season, Lookman has managed to impress with three goals in nine appearances and the youngster’s early exploits has already earned him admiration from a host of top clubs.
The likes of Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal were all said to be interested in Lookman and the 18-year old making an incredible move up to the Premier League this season had been seen within the realms of possibility.
In a surprise turn of events though, it seems like Championship side Queens Park Rangers are set to beat Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal to the signing of Lookman.
QPR are in the market to sign a new striker following the departure of Charlie Austin and while the Hoops moved quickly to land Connor Washington, manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is looking to sign another front man as well.
Lookman is certainly a player who has impressed Hasselbaink and it can be revealed that the Dutchman is ready to make a bid of around £4million in order to lure the 18-year old away from the Valley.
