Scottish Premier League outfit Rangers have been touted by reports to make a move for Newcastle United midfielder Vurnon Anita.

While Vurnon Anita played a key role in helping Newcastle United win promotion back into the Premier League, the midfielder was released by the Magpies recently and he is currently on the lookout for a new club.

At only 28, Anita most certainly has his peak years ahead of him and according to reports emerging out of England; claims are being made that Rangers could well make a swoop for the Dutch international this summer.

Rangers have been extremely busy in the current transfer window, bringing in no less than five new players to the club already and it is believed that manager Pedro Caixinha now has Anita on his sights as the revolution at the Ibrox Stadium continues.
