Real Madrid looking to snare Liverpool FC wonderkid Pedro Chirivella

According to reports emerging from Spain, Real Madrid are said to be looking to lure Liverpool wonderkid Pedro Chirivella away from Anfield in January.

Chirivella has been creating quite an impression since his arrival to Liverpool just over a year ago and has been labeled as the next ‘Xabi Alonso’ by many due to his similarity in playing style with the former Reds’ star.

The 17-year old is currently the captain of the Spanish Under-17 side and the young man’s development has been so impressive that he has already been drafted into the Liverpool Under-21 squad recently.

Understandably, the young midfielder is now being regarded as a hot prospect for the future by Liverpool and is said to have even caught the eye of club captain Steven Gerrard and manager Brendan Rodgers.

However, Chirivella’s progression has also attracted interest from other clubs and it can now be revealed that Spanish giants Real Madrid are looking to snare the young man away from Anfield.

It has been reported that Madrid’s extensive scouting team have been monitoring Chirivella over the past few months and will be looking to launch a bid to sign the midfielder in January.

Liverpool signed Chirivella from Valencia for a fee in the region of around £2million only 14 months ago and the club will certainly not be looking to part with their hottest prospect.

That being said, the lure of playing for Madrid could well turn Chirivella’s head and it will be interesting to see how the transfer story develops in the next few days.
