Sheffield Wednesday are eyeing a £2million swoop for Millwall striker Lee Gregory, according to reports emerging out of England
Sheffield Wednesday recently sealed their place in the final of the Championship playoffs and it will certainly be interesting to see if the Owls are able to earn promotion back into the Premier League following a long hiatus.
Irrespective of whether or not Wednesday manage to earn promotion, it is widely expected that manager Carlos Carvalhal will be looking to strengthen his squad in the summer and a number of players have been linked with the Owls over the past few weeks.
Signing a new striker is high on the agenda for Wednesday and now according to reports emerging out of England, it has been claimed that the Owls are currently considering a move for Millwall star Lee Gregory.
Gregory scored an impressive 25 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions last season and his form has led Millwall to the League One playoffs. Millwall now stand a great chance of earning promotion into the Championship and the 27-year-old will certainly have a big role to play in the Lions’ chances.
Gregory’s wonderful form has caught the attention of Wednesday and if reports from England are to be believed, the Championship outfit are set to place a £2million bid for the striker upon the conclusion of the playoffs.
