Sunderland AFC target ‘the best full-back’ in the Championship

Sunderland are eyeing up a move for Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan, who was statistically the best full-back in the Championship last season, according to the Bristol Post.

Sunderland suffered relegation into the Championship this season without putting up too much of a fight and following the departure of David Moyes, the Black Cats squad is now expected to go through a mass overhaul during the summer.

A number of players are expected to leave the Stadium of Light and at the same time, Sunderland will need to recruit wisely to replace the expected departures.

Now according to reports, Sunderland have eyed up a swoop for Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan and the defender could prove to be a very useful addition for the Wearside based outfit, especially as he was statistically the best full-back in the Championship last season despite playing in a struggling side.
