West Ham United FC set to sign Barcelona’s Alen Halilovic

West Ham United are on the verge of completing the signing of Barcelona wonderkid Alen Halilovic, according to various reports

Slaven Bilic has certainly made a positive impact since his appointment as manager of West Ham United this summer by bringing in a host of exciting players such as Dimitri Payet, Manuel Lanzini and Pedro Obiang among others to the club.

However as evidenced by the Hammers’ poor performance during the Europa Cup qualifiers, Bilic still has a couple of areas in which he needs to bring in reinforcements and the Croatian boss is looking to add a bit more flair into his squad.

With the recent injury to Enner Valencia, West Ham are currently in the market to sign a new striker but adding a new midfielder is also a priority due to the impending departure of club captain Kevin Nolan.

Halilovic set to join West Ham United

Recently it had emerged that West Ham were planning a surprise swoop for Barcelona wonderkid Alen Halilovic and now as a further development to the story; it can be revealed that the Hammers are on the verge of securing the services of the teenager.

Reports emerging out of England have claimed that West Ham are set to sign Halilovic for a fee of around £5.6million and the transfer is expected to be completed within the next few days.

Barcelona have inserted a buy back clause of around £6.9million on the deal and the Spanish side will be able to exercise the option during the youngsters stay at the Boleyn Ground.

Halilovic is considered as one of the finest young midfielders around in world football at the moment and his potential signing can certainly be seen as a huge coup for the Hammers.
