Championship side Leeds United to make a double swoop for Aiden McGeady and Bradley Dack, according to reports

Leeds United have made it clear that they intend to reinvest the funds raised from the sale of Sam Byram to West Ham United to strengthen the squad during the January transfer window and it has been no surprise to see a host of players being linked with a move to Elland Road in recent weeks.

Among the many player touted to join Leeds, it can be revealed that the Whites are close to a double swoop in the form of Aiden McGeady and Bradley Dack.

McGeady set for Leeds move

Many expect McGeady to move away from Everton in January after struggling for regular minutes on the pitch and Celtic were said to be interested in re-signing the winger.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez had recently confirmed that McGeady will be leaving Everton this month by saying, “At the moment, there are a few options, but there has been nothing concluded about the football challenge ahead.

“The most important aspect is what we are going to get from Aiden going away and playing football and in what sort of environment, everything else can be arranged.

“But it is the football proposition that Aiden is going to be involved in over the next four months is what concerns the player and myself.”

However, Celtic are unable to pay McGeady’s wages and the Republic of Ireland man has since been linked with a move to a host of Championship clubs.

Leeds United swoop in ahead of Bristol City to sign Bradley Dack

Leeds United have been mentioned as one of the many clubs interested in signing McGeady and it has been claimed that the Whites are now on the verge of signing the winger.

Another player Leeds United are close to signing is Bradley Dack from Gillingham. Dack has been in sensational form for Gillingham this season scoring 13 goals in 31 appearances from midfield and as a result, the 22-year old has been courting the interest from a host of Championship clubs.

Bristol City were said to be leading the race to sign Dack but now Leeds have swooped in and are set to land the services of the young star.
